Real Bone has been used to crease and fold paper for centuries. Bone was used because it glides easily on paper when used for folding and minimizes ''burnishing'' or''roughing up'' the surface. Over time a bone folder seems to ''break in'' and bend to fit the hand and creasing style of the user. Thus users become very attached to their personal bone folder.
